About the event
Being held in conjunction with ERION, in this meeting of the EARMA Open Science Thematic Group we aim to explore the interactions and synergies between open science, in particular data management, and ethics. The event will be held two half days:
· On November 21 in the afternoon we intend to cover the revised ALLEA code (tbc) and to engage in a discussion on ethics and data management support: synergies, complementaries and overlaps.
· On November 22 in the morning we will run a practical training on Data Management Plans: we will revisit the FAIR principles, provide an overview of experiences with DMPS and run a joint evaluation exercise of real Horizon 2020 DMPs.
We welcome the participation of not only our group members but everyone interested in data management plans and ethics from a practical implementation perspective. If you sign up for ERION and the Open Science TG you will benefit from a discount in participation fees.

About the EARMA Open Science Thematic Group
The EARMA Open Science Thematic Group aims to provide clear added value to and reflect the specific perspectives, experiences and needs of Research Managers and Administrators (RMAs) on open science. The group orients itself on the European Commission´s eight open science ambitions, although it may not cover all of them equally and may bundle some of them. The remit of the group will be to exchange best practices, provide tools and connect with other networks relevant to open science. The group will also connect with other relevant EARMA activities to establish synergies and avoid duplication.
