Project preparation and grant writing Senior Advisor for a permanent position in the Turku UAS Project Management Office

We are seeking a project preparation and grant writing Senior Advisor for a permanent position in the Turku UAS Project Management Office.

The experts at the Turku University of Applied Sciences Project Management Office (PMO) provide a wide range of project support and funding expertise services to our research groups. We plan and implement publicly funded RDI projects together with our research groups. One third of our projects are international.

Your work as a Senior Advisor is versatile, independent, and responsible. Your tasks will include preparing national and international research and development projects as a grant writer and active project preparation support.
- You will contribute to the development of project preparation processes and to increasing the project preparation competencies in the Pre-award team of our PMO.
- You will participate in hands-on project writing with experts from our research groups.
- You will support and guide the experts in our research groups in writing funding proposals, advising on specific issues related to different funders, and identifying suitable funding sources.
- The work may involve some travelling.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
- Experience and proven track record in project writing and preparation processes for RDI projects
- Knowledge of the EU Framework Programme
- Knowledge of funding programmes (e.g. Horizon Europe, Baltic Sea Region or Central Baltic) and commitment to learn new ones
- Ability to work in a solution-oriented manner in a fast-paced environment that requires precision
- Ability to work under pressure, with good workload management and time management skills
- Teamwork skills, service orientation and ability to work on your own initiative
- An applicable university degree
- Excellent command of English.

The post is subject to a six-month probationary period. In this position, work must be carried out in Finland.
